Dr. Afaf Sahraoui

Dr. Afaf Sahraoui is a Norwegian-trained surgeon who is board-certified by the Norwegian Directorate of Health as a General Surgeon and Breast, Thyroid, and Parathyroid Surgeon. She spent 8 years at Akershus University Hospital in Norway, one of the country's largest hospitals serving 650,000 people, where she helped build a high-volume surgical unit. She now practices in Dubai, bringing extensive experience in both cancer and benign breast conditions, as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery.

During her time in Norway, Dr. Sahraoui performed an average of 100 breast cancer surgeries per year and 30–50 thyroid and parathyroid procedures annually, giving her deep expertise in oncoplastic breast surgery (combining cancer removal with reconstruction) and complex endocrine cases. She specializes in breast lumps, breast cancer surgery, thyroid cancer, and parathyroid conditions, using evidence-based, patient-centered approaches.

Dr. Sahraoui is particularly known for her communication skills and compassion with cancer patients. She implemented remote patient monitoring systems at her previous hospital so patients could connect with healthcare staff via an app, avoiding unnecessary travel. She brings this same dedication to patient care in her current practice in Dubai.
