Dr. Neshteman Oghanna

Dr. Neshteman Oghanna is a Consultant Histopathologist with over 20 years of experience in the UK National Health Service. She trained in Iraq, completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and Master's degree in Pathology before moving to the UK, where she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of England. At Kettering General Hospital, she built a reputation as a specialist in examining tissue samples (biopsies) from across the body, including breast, gynaecological, skin, gastrointestinal, head and neck, endocrine glands, and lymphoid tissues.

Dr. Neshteman led the breast cancer pathology service at Kettering, where she spearheaded the adoption of synoptic reporting—a structured approach that improved how cancer is graded and classified, directly supporting better patient treatment decisions. She also headed the cervical cytology (screening) service, playing a key role in cervical cancer prevention.
