Dr. Mohamed Attia

Dr. Mohamed Attia is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in orthopaedic surgery. He completed his bachelor's degree, master's degree, and PhD in orthopaedic surgery from Cairo University, Egypt, where he trained extensively in hip and knee joint replacement and sports injuries. He has spent more than a decade practising in the UAE, where he has performed over 1,000 surgeries across leading hospitals including American Hospital, Medcare, NMC Speciality Hospitals, and Emirates Hospital Jumeirah.

Dr. Attia specializes in adult joint reconstruction, particularly total knee and hip replacements. He manages a wide range of knee and shoulder sports injuries using arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques, including meniscus tears, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, rotator cuff tears, and recurrent shoulder dislocations. He is also experienced in complex cases such as limb deformities, leg length discrepancies, bone infections, and congenital conditions, which he treats using advanced techniques like the Taylor Spatial Frame and Ilizarov method.
