Dr. George Jacob Malayil

Dr. George Jacob Malayil is a Specialist Anesthesiologist at Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi with over 15 years of clinical experience. He trained at leading Indian medical institutions, completing his MBBS at Dr. SMCSI Medical College in Trivandrum, his MD in Anesthesiology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Cochin, and a two-year fellowship in Solid Organ Transplant Anesthesiology at the same institution. Throughout his career, he has held senior consultant and lead anesthetist roles, playing a key part in establishing transplant units and intensive care services.

Dr. Malayil's clinical work spans general anesthesia, regional techniques (epidural, spinal, nerve blocks), airway management, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring. He has particular expertise in transplant anesthesiology, having managed nearly 50 liver transplants in under two years. His advanced skills include on-table extubation and enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols, as well as procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy support.
