Dr. Hala Sharaf

Dr. Hala Sharaf is a consultant cardiologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, bringing 16 years of experience in cardiology and cardiovascular care. She holds a Ph.D. in cardiovascular medicine and clinical pharmacology from Cambridge University, an M.Sc. in health services research and evaluation, and full higher specialist training with accreditation in cardiac imaging from the UK. Her qualifications include membership in the Royal College of Physicians and certifications from the General Medical Council.

Dr. Sharaf specializes in acute cardiology and cardiac imaging, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, and echocardiography (including stress testing and cardiac MRI). She currently directs the coronary intensive care unit at SSMC and brings expertise in same-day emergency care and clinical decision-making in cardiology. Her training included a five-year rotation through the East Midlands Deanery and clinical fellowships at leading UK hospitals including Glenfield and Leicester Royal Infirmary.

She is an excellent fit for patients needing specialized assessment of heart structure and function, management of complex heart conditions, and acute coronary care.
