Dr. Karsten Grabski

Dr. Karsten Grabski is a consultant in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology with more than 18 years of experience in diagnostic imaging and cancer treatment using radioactive tracers. He trained at leading international centres including the University of Pennsylvania, UCLA, and Cornell University. He is dual-boarded by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and American Board of Radiology.

His clinical focus spans the full range of nuclear medicine, with particular expertise in advanced PET-CT imaging (a type of molecular scan that shows how tissues are working at a cellular level). He specializes in using these scans to detect and stage cancers, evaluate heart function and blood flow, and assess brain conditions. He also offers cancer treatment using novel radiotracers—injectable radioactive agents that target tumours. Before joining Mediclinic Abu Dhabi, he was Chief of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and simultaneously led the Tawam Molecular Imaging PET-CT Centre in Al Ain. Earlier, he served as Chief of Molecular Imaging and PET-CT at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey and held a consultant position at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
