Dr. Anup P Nair

Dr. Anup P Nair is a Specialist Neurosurgeon at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital in Dubai, bringing 12 years of clinical experience. He trained in India at prestigious institutions including the Government Medical College in Calicut (MBBS) and Trivandrum (MS in General Surgery), followed by an MCh in Neurosurgery from SGPGIMS, Lucknow. He completed advanced fellowship training in spine surgery at AIMS, Kochi, and undertook an Indo-Japanese Skull Base Fellowship in Japan, giving him expertise across multiple neurosurgical domains.

Dr. Nair specializes in minimally invasive and advanced spine surgery alongside skull base microvascular neurosurgery. He performs a wide range of procedures including endoscopic spine surgery, spinal instrumentation and fusion, TLIF (transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion), OLIF (oblique lumbar interbody fusion), vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, and cervical laminoforaminotomy. He has successfully managed conditions such as intervertebral disc prolapse, spinal tumours, traumatic spine fractures, spondylolisthesis, and spinal degenerative disorders.

Before relocating to the UAE, Dr. Nair held academic and clinical positions across India, including a lectureship in General Surgery at Government Medical College, Calicut, and consultant roles at Lourdes Hospital and Aster Medcity.
