Dr. Nagwa Mahmoud Ali

Dr. Nagwa Ali is a consultant rheumatologist at Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi, with over 25 years of clinical experience. She trained at Suez Canal University in Egypt, where she completed her medical degree, specialist residency in rheumatology, and a PhD. She also holds a diploma in musculoskeletal ultrasound from UCAM University in Spain, and serves as a lecturer in rheumatology at her alma mater.

Dr. Ali specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory joint diseases and autoimmune conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, Behçet syndrome, Sjögren syndrome, and ankylosing spondylitis. She is skilled in ultrasound-guided joint injections using hyaluronic acid and platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and in prescribing biological therapies for rheumatic diseases. She has taught medical students and contributed to educational programmes in the region.
