About Dr. Rana Alghamdi
Dr. Rana Alghamdi is a General Pediatrics Consultant with extensive experience in both routine pediatric care and pediatric emergency medicine. She obtained her medical degree from Um Alqura University in Saudi Arabia, then moved to the United States where she completed pediatrics residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Before joining American Hospital Dubai, Dr. Rana worked for two years at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia caring for complex pediatric patients, followed by a role in the pediatric emergency department at Endeavor Healthcare System–Northwest Community Hospital.
Dr. Rana manages the full range of general pediatric conditions in children, adolescents, and newborns, with particular expertise in acute and urgent illnesses, emergency stabilization of critically ill children, and common pediatric injuries including fractures, lacerations, foreign body removal, and nursemaid's elbow. She combines her US-based training and board certification with experience in high-acuity pediatric settings.
