Dr. Moncy Thomas

Dr. Moncy Thomas is a Staff Physician in the Neurology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Neurological Institute. He brings 13 years of clinical experience in neurology, neurophysiology and neuropsychiatry, with particular expertise in acute stroke care. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he served as Head of the Division of Neurology at St. James Hospital in India, where he led a busy department treating the full range of neurological conditions. His most notable achievement there was establishing the hospital's Stroke Unit and heading the Thrombolytic Therapy Team, introducing advanced clot-busting treatment with Tenecteplase for acute stroke patients with successful outcomes.

Dr. Thomas treats a wide spectrum of neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, headaches and migraines, peripheral nerve damage, dementia, and multiple sclerosis. He works within Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's fully integrated Neurological Institute, the first of its kind in the Middle East, which gives him access to advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities. His approach combines evidence-based medical management with the latest therapeutic options, including specialist headache treatment with Botox for chronic migraine.
