Dr. Tahira Ramzan Mehboob Hussain Ghanchi

Dr Tahira Ramzan Mehboob Hussain Ghanchi is a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Medcare Hospital Sharjah, bringing 22 years of clinical experience across Pakistan, Oman and the UAE. She completed her MBBS and MSc from Jinnah Medical University in Pakistan, followed by specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Dow University of Health Sciences and Civil Hospital Karachi. She holds fellowships and memberships from major international colleges including the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UK), American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (USA), and the Royal College of Physicians (Ireland), alongside additional qualifications in ultrasound, IVF and minimally invasive surgery from German and UAE institutions.

Dr Ghanchi manages a broad range of gynaecological and obstetric conditions, from routine care to complex surgery. She performs diagnostic procedures (D&C, colposcopy, biopsy), caesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, and specializes in high-risk pregnancies including placenta previa, twin gestation, and early complications. She has particular expertise in rescue cerclage (cervical stitch) for pregnancies between 16–25 weeks, and manages abnormal bleeding, polycystic ovary disease, fibroids, fertility issues, menopausal symptoms, and pre-cancerous conditions.
