Dr. Mohammad Ali

Dr. Mohammad Ali is a Specialist in Hand and Wrist Orthopaedic Surgery at Medcare Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital in Dubai. He completed his MBBCh and MSc in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery from Cairo University's Faculty of Medicine. Early in his career, he started microsurgery training at National University Hospital in Singapore and received a travelling fellowship in arm and hand surgery from Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School). After moving to the UAE, he worked as an orthopaedic surgeon at Rashid Hospital and later served as faculty at Dubai Academic Health Corporation and the Arab Board Orthopaedic and Trauma Residency program.

Dr. Ali specializes in complex conditions and injuries of the hand, arm, wrist and elbow. He is highly skilled in hand replantation (reattaching severed fingers or hands), finger revascularization (restoring blood supply), nerve repair and reconstruction, and microvascular surgery to repair delicate tissues after major injury. He treats a wide range of conditions including carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome (nerve compression at the elbow), trigger finger, thumb arthritis, crushed hand injuries, fractures and sprains of the wrist and forearm, and sports-related arm injuries. He also offers minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques, tendon transfer surgery, and revision surgery to correct previous failed treatments.

Dr. Ali is particularly focused on restoring function and mobility in damaged upper limbs. He has treated hundreds of cases involving nerve repair, revascularization and replantation of amputated parts. He is an active faculty member at regional and international trauma and orthopaedic conferences and is a fluent speaker of both Arabic and English.
