Dr. Carolyn Yaffe

Carolyn Yaffe is a Counsellor and Cognitive Behaviour Therapist in the Department of Psychology at Medcare Camali Clinic in Jumeirah. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from Emerson College, Boston, and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston University's Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. She is certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and the Assessment and Treatment of Psychological Trauma.

With 20 years of experience, Ms. Yaffe has worked across the US as a Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist, providing counselling and crisis intervention to adolescents facing emotional difficulties, abuse, and academic challenges. Since relocating to Dubai, she has worked as a Behavioural Consultant at specialist centres including the Doris Duan-Young Autism Center and Kids in Motion Paediatric Therapy Services. She conducts clinical evaluations and counselling for adults, children, and adolescents from diverse backgrounds, working with conditions including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, personality disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
