Dr. Alaa Khair

Dr. Alaa Khair is a specialist pediatrician and neonatologist with more than 15 years of experience caring for newborns, infants, and children across intensive care units and general pediatric settings in Egypt and the UAE. He holds a Master's degree in Pediatrics from Alexandria University and a High Diploma in Pediatrics & Neonatology from Al Azhar University, along with DHA licensure as a Pediatric & Neonatology Specialist.

At Saudi German Hospital Dubai, where he has worked for over 8 years, Dr. Alaa manages both the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). He specializes in premature babies, critically ill children, and complex neonatal conditions. His clinical expertise spans advanced mechanical ventilation, pediatric emergencies, management of respiratory distress, sepsis, metabolic disorders, and shock. He also performs specialized procedures including umbilical and central line insertion, intubation, chest tube insertion, exchange transfusion, and pericardiocentesis.

Dr. Alaa runs a successful pediatric and neonatal clinic, provides routine care including growth monitoring, developmental assessment, and vaccinations, and treats pediatric asthma and allergic and infectious diseases. He holds American Heart Association certifications in basic life support, advanced pediatric life support, and neonatal resuscitation. He is active in professional development, presenting lectures and workshops at pediatric conferences.
