Dr. Sadia Ghaffar

Dr. Sadia Ghaffar joined HealthPoint in Abu Dhabi in 2022, bringing over 13 years of clinical experience in anesthesia. She completed her medical degree (MBChB with honors) from the University of Dundee in 2009 and went on to earn her FRCA qualification (Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists) between 2011 and 2014. Prior to relocating to the UAE, she worked as a Consultant Anesthetist at St. John's Hospital in Scotland, where she developed broad expertise across multiple surgical disciplines.

Dr. Ghaffar's clinical experience spans vascular anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, head and neck anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetric anesthesia, and intensive care medicine. She trained at leading Scottish teaching hospitals including the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, gaining specialized knowledge in managing anesthesia for complex vascular procedures and young patients requiring specialized care.

Her work has been recognized through multiple academic awards, including medical school distinctions and prizes for clinical audit and quality improvement projects. She has published in peer-reviewed journals including the British Journal of Anaesthesia and European Journal of Anaesthesiology, contributing to the evidence base in anesthetic practice.
