Dr. Ahmad Bayrlee

Dr. Ahmad Bayrlee is a Staff Physician in the Critical Care Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He brings over 20 years of medical experience, including extensive training in neurology and critical care. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Virginia Commonwealth University in the USA, where he also held the role of Medical Co-Director of the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit.

Dr. Bayrlee specializes in managing acute neurological emergencies, particularly stroke, seizures, and subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding around the brain). His training includes a dedicated Neuro-Critical Care Fellowship from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, as well as clinical research fellowship focused on stroke care. He is certified in neurosonology and transcranial Doppler ultrasound, advanced imaging techniques used to assess blood flow in the brain.

He is a good fit for patients requiring intensive care for acute neurological conditions, especially those needing specialized stroke management or seizure treatment in a critical care setting.
