Dr. Sylvester Rodrigues

Dr. Sylvester Rodrigues is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He brings 17 years of clinical experience, having trained and worked across India and the UK. In the NHS, he served as Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust in South London, where he also held the position of Trauma Lead for the trust and Senior Lecturer at St George's Hospital.

Dr. Rodrigues completed his medical degree at St. John's Medical College in Bangalore, India, followed by residency training in Emergency Medicine at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. He completed his specialist fellowship in Emergency Medicine through the South London Deanery in the UK, equipping him to manage the full spectrum of acute medical and surgical emergencies, severe trauma, shock, cardiac arrest, and minor injuries. His expertise spans acute resuscitation and stabilisation of critically unwell patients.

He is recognised for his educational contributions, having been awarded the Education Hero award in 2023 and previously the Dr. Fred and Domitilla Saldanha Memorial Prize and the Dr. I.M. Thomas Prize in 2002.
