Dr. Maryam Aslani

Dr. Maryam Aslani is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at Mediclinic City Hospital's Comprehensive Cancer Centre in the UAE. She graduated from a radiation oncology programme in Iran in 1996, ranking first nationwide in her speciality exam, then completed her residency in radiation oncology at McGill University in Canada. She holds the Fellowship of the Royal College Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) since 2007, American Board certification in Radiation Oncology (2008), and the American Board in Anti-Aging Medicine (2020). She has been practising in the UAE since 2007.

Dr. Aslani specialises in precision radiotherapy techniques including IMRT (intensity-modulated radiotherapy), VMAT (volumetric arc therapy), IGRT (image-guided radiotherapy), and advanced focused approaches (SRS and SBRT). She treats a wide range of cancer sites including breast, head and neck, lung, prostate, gastrointestinal, and skin cancers. Her practice emphasises integrative oncology—combining standard medical treatment with holistic care that addresses the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of her patients.

Beyond cancer treatment, Dr. Aslani is a certified menopause practitioner and takes special interest in managing menopause-related symptoms in cancer survivors. She is a thoughtful advocate for treating the whole person throughout their cancer journey.
