Dr. Jan Niclas Strickling

Dr. Jan Niclas Strickling is a Consultant in Cardiology and Specialist in Interventional Cardiology at Medcare Hospital Dubai, with 13 years of clinical experience. He trained in Germany, completing his medical degree at WWU University Muenster and obtaining board certifications in Internal Medicine (2018) and Cardiology (2021). Before relocating to the UAE, he spent nearly a decade in Germany, including several years as Cardiology Department Head leading device therapy and heart failure services at Klinikum Luenen.

Dr. Strickling has deep expertise in diagnosing and treating heart conditions through both imaging and intervention. He performs echocardiography, stress testing, coronary angiography, and complex procedures including pacemaker and defibrillator implants (single-, dual- and triple-chamber systems), as well as advanced techniques such as left main coronary stenting, functional flow assessment, and intracoronary imaging. He manages acute and chronic heart failure with specialist devices like the Impella and leadless pacemakers, and treats irregular heartbeats including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and ventricular arrhythmias using catheter-based approaches.

He is a Fellow of both the German Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology, and holds additional certifications in heart failure, cardiac device therapy, and interventional cardiology from the German Society of Cardiology.
