Dr. Kateryna Shapovalova

Dr. Kateryna Shapovalova is a general surgeon with 13 years of clinical experience, trained in Ukraine at Lugansk State Medical University (graduating in 2009) where she also completed a PhD in surgery. She practises at a polyclinic in Dubai, bringing expertise across the full scope of general surgery with a focus on minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques.

Dr. Shapovalova's practice covers breast disease, colorectal conditions, and abdominal surgery. She performs laparoscopic gallbladder removal, hernia repairs, appendectomy, thyroid surgery, and treatment of anal disorders including haemorrhoids, fistulas and fissures. She also offers upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy for both diagnosis and treatment, fine-needle aspiration of thyroid and breast lumps, breast fibroadenoma removal, and gastric balloon placement for weight management.
