Dr. Fadel Shabeeb

Professor Fadel Shabeeb is a Clinical Professor and Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He holds fellowships from the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and is certified in da Vinci robotic surgery. Before joining Mediclinic, he worked as a consultant at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and North Cumbria Integrated Healthcare NHS in the UK. He has held academic positions at Case Western Reserve University, Monash University, and Khalifa University.

Professor Shabeeb specialises in minimally invasive colorectal surgery, with particular expertise in robotic and laparoscopic approaches for bowel cancers, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), haemorrhoids and complex anal fistulas, pelvic floor disorders, and bowel cancer screening. He also performs transanal minimally invasive surgery, laser surgery for anorectal conditions, hernia repairs, and interventional endoscopy procedures.

He is an internationally certified surgical coach and values patient-centred care. He believes in helping patients understand their condition and involving them in shared decision-making within a multidisciplinary team approach.
