About Dr. Lakshmi Saranya
Dr. Lakshmi Saranya is a clinical psychologist with over nine years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across diverse cultural backgrounds. Before relocating to Dubai, she served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi, India, where she worked from 2015 to 2021. She also has experience in psychiatry settings, having worked at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences in Thrissur.
Dr. Lakshmi specializes in assessing and treating anxiety, mood disorders, personality issues, and developmental concerns in younger patients, as well as neuropsychological problems affecting thinking and memory. She completed her specialized training (MPhil in Clinical Psychology) at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, and holds Master's qualifications from Christ University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Calicut University. She has been recognized for her contributions to the field through her role as an examiner for university psychology programs and as a resource person in community education initiatives.
