Dr. Aws Hamid is a Staff Physician in the Diagnostic Radiology & Imaging Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Diagnostics Institute. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he served as Site Director of the Cardiothoracic Imaging Division at Emory St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta, where he also directed the Lung Cancer Screening Program and led educational initiatives.
Dr. Hamid's clinical expertise centres on thoracic (chest) imaging and advanced heart imaging using CT and MRI scans. He specializes in evaluating lung cancer risk, imaging the heart and major blood vessels, and detecting lung diseases. His work combines direct patient care with a strong commitment to teaching and research in cardiovascular imaging.
He is recognised internationally as a leader in cardiovascular imaging education and serves in leadership roles with the North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging.
