Dr. Narayanan Janakiram

Dr. Narayanan Janakiram is a Specialist in the ENT Department at Medcare Hospitals in Sharjah. He trained at Madras Medical College in India, earning his MBBS, Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (DLO), and MS in ENT. Over 30 years, he has built an international career, working as a surgeon and teaching faculty across Germany, Malaysia, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Kuwait, and Vietnam, with visiting consultant roles in Maldives, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Egypt, and Bahrain. He previously served as Chief Consultant and Managing Director at Royal Pearl Hospital in Tiruchirappalli.

Dr. Janakiram specializes in complex ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions, with particular expertise in advanced sinus and skull base surgery. He has trained under world-leading endoscopic sinus surgeons including Dr. D.S. Sethi at Singapore General Hospital, Dr. Milind Kirtane at KEM Hospital, and Professor Stammberger at the Medical University of Graz. His clinical practice encompasses skull base tumours (pituitary tumours, acoustic neuroma, meningioma, craniopharyngioma), jugular glomus tumours, skull base bone infections and fungal disease, juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma, and cochlear implantation for hearing restoration.

He is a life member of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India and has authored multiple books while presenting research at national and international conferences. Dr. Janakiram actively teaches advanced otolaryngology and skull base techniques in over 40 countries, demonstrating a commitment to elevating medical education globally.
