Dr. Amrith Raj Rao

Dr. Amrith Raj Rao is a Consultant Urologist at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital in Dubai with over 25 years of surgical experience. He is double board certified by both the UK and European Boards of Urology and has undertaken comprehensive urological training in the London Deanery at prestigious institutions including St Mary's Hospital, Royal Berkshire Hospital, and King's College Hospital. He graduated from JJM Medical College, where he was awarded the Gold Medal in Surgery, and is fellowship-trained in robotic surgery for urological cancers.

Dr. Rao treats the full spectrum of urological conditions affecting the kidney, prostate, bladder, and male and female genital structures. He has particular expertise in prostate cancer and benign enlargement, kidney stones and cancer, bladder disorders, urinary tract infections, sexual dysfunction, and scrotal conditions. He is noted as a leading uro-oncologist in the region, having performed the highest number of robotic urological procedures in Dubai. His approach combines advanced minimally invasive (keyhole) techniques with robotic surgery to offer patients less invasive treatment options where appropriate.
