Dr. Ayman Moustafa Hassan

Dr. Ayman Moustafa Hassan is a Consultant in Anesthesiology at NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah, bringing 37 years of clinical expertise to surgical and critical care medicine. He holds an MD and PhD in Anesthesia and Surgical ICU from Alexandria University in Egypt, where he has served as a university lecturer since 2001. His career includes significant leadership roles, including Head of Anesthesia, ICU, and Respiratory Therapy at King Fahd Military Medical Complex in Saudi Arabia from 2007 to 2016, and Director of the anesthesia resident training programme at the Saudi Council for Anesthesia.

Dr. Hassan specializes in a broad range of advanced anesthetic techniques including pediatric and neonatal anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and surgical intensive care. He has particular expertise in ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and managing high-risk patients. He is an international instructor with the Basic Assessment and Support in ICU (BASIC) training programme since 2014 and a member and instructor of the Saudi Difficult Airway Association.

Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, Dr. Hassan is well-positioned to care for diverse patient populations across complex surgical and critical care settings.
