Dr. Mudassara Munir

Dr. Mudassara Munir is a Consultant Neuroradiologist with extensive training at leading UK neuroscience centers, including Newcastle upon Tyne and Sunderland University Hospitals. She completed general radiology training followed by a two-year specialist fellowship in neuroradiology, and holds the European Diploma in Neuroradiology from the European Society of Neuroradiology. She is registered with the UK General Medical Council.

Dr. Munir specializes in detailed imaging of the brain, spinal cord, and head and neck region using advanced techniques. Her clinical expertise includes imaging for brain tumors, epilepsy, and other neurological conditions. She is highly skilled in advanced MRI methods such as MR spectroscopy (which analyzes brain tissue chemistry), perfusion imaging (which shows blood flow), and diffusion tensor imaging (which maps nerve fiber pathways). She has also performed spinal procedures including nerve root injections and biopsies.

Throughout her career, Dr. Munir has been committed to teaching and training junior radiologists. She has led regional specialist team meetings and is an active member of both the British and European Societies of Neuroradiology, reflecting her ongoing engagement with the field.
