Dr. Shola Faniran

Dr. Shola is a paediatrician with over 20 years' experience, the last 15 of which focused on developmental and behavioural paediatrics. She completed her medical training in Nigeria (MBBS from the University of Ilorin, 1991) and went on to specialist paediatric training in Sydney, including posts at Sydney Children's Hospital and the Children's Hospital at Westmead. She holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney (1998) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr. Shola assesses and manages a wide range of child health concerns: growth and development monitoring, weight management, behavioural problems including ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety and school refusal, learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, intellectual disability, congenital conditions including cerebral palsy, and incontinence issues. She is trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Griffiths developmental assessment, and is a registered test user with the British Psychological Society. She also runs a specialised follow-up clinic for babies born prematurely.

Dr. Shola is a regular guest on Dubai Eye Radio and brings a holistic approach to children's health, combining expertise in medical paediatrics with psychological and developmental assessment.
