Dr. Obaid Aljassim (ID*)

Dr. Obaid Aljassim is a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon and head of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at Dubai Health Authority, while also practising at Mediclinic City Hospital. He qualified and completed specialist training in Sweden before relocating to Dubai in 2005. He holds a clinical PhD from Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, with his doctoral thesis focused on aortic valve surgery, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, UK.

Dr. Aljassim's clinical expertise spans adult cardiothoracic surgery, including both on-pump and off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery, as well as aortic and mitral valve repair and replacement. He also manages general thoracic conditions and specializes in paediatric and congenital heart surgery.
