Dr. Pradeep Bala

Dr. Pradeep Bala is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in complex shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand microsurgery at Reem Hospital's Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Department. He holds accreditation from the Australian Orthopedic Association in hand and upper limb surgery, arthroplasty and sports surgery, and is Indian board-certified. With 15 years of experience, he has trained extensively across India and Australia, including 4 years of fellowship training in Adelaide from 2015 to 2019.

Dr. Bala has performed over 5,000 surgical procedures focusing on the shoulder, elbow and hand. His work includes keyhole surgery (arthroscopy), joint replacements, fracture repair, ligament and tendon reconstruction, and microsurgery for infections and tumors of the upper limb. He was part of the team that performed the first robotic joint replacement in South Australia in 2016, and has contributed to research on navigation-based joint replacement and novel techniques for treating infected joint replacements in the shoulder.

He is an invited international faculty member for hand and upper limb surgery in India and holds life membership in multiple professional societies across Australia, Asia, India and the Gulf region.
