Dr. Kiran Kumar Rai

Dr. Kiran Kumar Rai is a Specialist Paediatrician and Head of the Department at Burjeel, Abu Dhabi, with over two decades of clinical experience. He trained at Kasturba Medical College in India, earning his MBBS with distinction in 1997 and his MD in Paediatrics in 2000. He has been a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) since 2008. Before joining Burjeel, he spent 16 years as a paediatrician at NMC Specialty Hospital in Abu Dhabi and four years as an Assistant Professor at his medical school in India.

Dr. Rai specializes in comprehensive paediatric care with particular expertise in managing paediatric and neonatal emergencies. His clinical interests include hepatitis B in hospitalized children, and he has contributed to research in this area. He has presented his work at numerous national and international medical conferences and participated in expert panel discussions.
