Dr. Ruba Al-Refai

Dr. Ruba Al-Refai is a consultant gastroenterologist with more than 14 years of experience in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and hepatology. She completed her medical degree at Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2010, followed by specialist training in internal medicine at Royal Medical Services Hospitals in Jordan (2011–2015) and fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology (2016–2019). Before joining HealthPoint Abu Dhabi, she was an associate specialist gastroenterologist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Al-Refai's clinical practice spans diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy with polypectomy, treatment of bleeding varices and gastrointestinal bleeding, and advanced liver imaging including FibroScan for fibrosis assessment. She has particular expertise in inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, functional dyspepsia, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. She also manages post-bariatric surgery patients, conducts pre-liver transplant workups, and supervises weight-loss medications.

Dr. Al-Refai is a member of the Emirates Gastroenterology & Hepatology Society. Her approach emphasizes comprehensive nutrition support and holistic care tailored to each patient's gastrointestinal and hepatic needs.
