Dr. Elie Romanos

Dr. Elie Romanos is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Al Zahra Hospital in Dubai with advanced training across three continents. He graduated from the University of Saint Joseph and is licensed by the Medical Council of Canada. He completed subspecialty training in sports and trauma injuries at the University of Lille in France, where he learned advanced keyhole surgical techniques for athletes, and then pursued fellowship training at the University of British Columbia in Canada, one of the world's leading centers for orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Romanos treats a wide range of joint conditions using minimally invasive arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery. For the shoulder, he performs rotator cuff repair, treats SLAP tears and shoulder instability, and manages impingement. For the knee, he specializes in ligament reconstruction (ACL, PCL, PLC, MCL) and meniscus repair, as well as cartilage injury management and correction of patellar instability. He also performs hip and knee replacement using minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques, including complex revision cases and management of complications like periprosthetic fractures and infections. He incorporates regenerative medicine therapies with ultrasound-guided injections into his sports injuries management.
