Dr. Arun Thattunkal Korah

Dr. Arun Thattunkal Korah is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi with nearly two decades of clinical experience. He completed his medical training in India, earning his MBBS in 2000 and MD in General Medicine in 2004 from Government Medical College Trivandrum. He went on to complete his specialist qualification in Gastroenterology (DM) from the same institution in 2007, and later obtained the MRCP Specialty Certificate in Gastroenterology from the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK in 2015. Before joining NMC, he served as Head of the Gastroenterology Department at both Ahalia Hospital and Universal Hospital in Abu Dhabi, spending four years at each facility.

Dr. Korah's clinical expertise spans medical gastroenterology, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (keyhole examination and treatment of the digestive tract), and specialized testing for swallowing and motility disorders. He completed an additional fellowship in Functional Bowel Disease at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow, India. His career began in 2007 at Dr. Nair's Hospital in Kollam, India, where he worked as a Consultant Gastroenterologist, and he has also trained at Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences in Trivandrum.
