Dr. Hector Godoy

Dr. Hector Godoy is an Associate Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He is a medical doctor with over two decades of clinical experience practicing across Venezuela, Colombia, Spain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. His training includes a medical degree from Universidad Romulo Gallegos in Venezuela, anesthesiology residency at Universidad Central de Venezuela, and a fellowship in cardiovascular anesthesia at Hospital Universitario de Caracas.

Dr. Godoy has successfully completed more than 20,000 anesthesia procedures since 2008. He specializes in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, acute pain management, cardiovascular anesthesia, pediatric and neonatal anesthesia, and anesthesia for thoracic procedures. He holds advanced qualifications including a Master's degree in Regional Anesthesia and Interventional Pain Treatment with ultrasound guidance from Universidad de Salamanca, Spain, and business management credentials (MBA and postgraduate healthcare management diploma) that support his leadership in operating room optimization and quality improvement.

Patient safety and satisfaction form the foundation of Dr. Godoy's practice. He is a certified Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma quality improvement methodology and has led projects to enhance operating room workflow and institutional standards. He is an affiliated member of major anesthesia societies including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists USA. Beyond his clinical work, he volunteers with humanitarian organizations including Doctors Without Borders and Mercyships.
